Fairview Lakes Medical Center is hiring for CSR Instrument Processing Tech. Surgical Services consists of the operating room, pre and postoperative care, and endoscopy which serves patients of all ages and cases including general surgery, ortho, podiatry, spine, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and endoscospy.

72 hours per pay period, day/evening shift (no call M-F)
latest shift is 12 pm to 8:30 pm
Weekends and holidays are with call
Located in Wyoming, MN
Completes daily central supply processes of wrap, pack and decontamination of instruments used in medical/surgical procedures. Determines Operating Room surgical instrument need for surgery cases and sets up surgical instrument trays. Decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments including preparation. Serves as a resource to physicians, nurses and medical staff in the Operating Room regarding surgical instruments.
To be successful, the CSR Instrument Processing Tech. must be able to:
Sterilize OR instrumentation
Reviews and interpret O.R. surgery schedule on an on-going basis to determine priority of surgical instruments needed.
Decontaminates O.R. instrumentation and equipment
Serve as a resource to surgeons, nurses and other medical personnel
Graduate of a Central Service Program or Surgical Tech Program within the past 3 years
or 1-2 years of work experience in surgical instrument reprocessing.
One year hospital Operating Room surgical instrument processing experience, or
Surgical Technician with experience or knowledge in instrument processing and sterilization technique, or
Completion of Sterile Processing Techincian Program
Computer skills with proficiency in word processing and data base programs.
Certification in Central Sterile Processing from International Association of Healthcare CentralService Material Management or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
