In addition to its hospitals, Duke Health has an extensive, geographically dispersed network of outpatient facilities that include primary care offices, urgent care centers, multi-specialty clinics and outpatient surgery centers. Exercise leadership and management responsibility over all functions within assigned management portfolio ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff within a DUHS Institute/Center/Facility(s) Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and foster effective collaboration between clinical departments and other affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling our clinical, strategic, research, and educational goals and objectives. Function as an effective liaison and intermediary between Nursing Administration, DUHS Administration, and the various clinical departments who are primary stakeholders. Develop new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance. Work with Leadership teams throughout the facilities, serving as a resource to reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze and utilize information to develop and support management decisions. In general, coordinate the delivery of clinical care in conjunction with the Chief of Ambulatory Surgery, Chief of Ambulatory Anesthesia, and AVP Nursing - Perioperative Services, among others. Communicate key information to the stakeholders of areas of responsibility with respect to payors, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and patient-centered programs and services. Lead and support key committees pertaining to areas of responsibility. Contribute to the plan for and oversee any renovations in the area of responsibility. Coordinate the determination of fiscal requirements of areas of responsibility and review budgetary recommendations (capital and operating): monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds. Minimum Qualifications Education: Work requires a Master's degree in a related field; or equivalent experience. Experience: Work requires a minimum of 5 years experience in responsible hospital operations including at least three years at the administrative leadership level.
