Summary:

4 Dawson is a 39-bed unit and provides general medical care as well as peritoneal dialysis, both on the unit and elsewhere in the facility. Other treatments and therapies include but are not limited to: Glucose monitoring and management; Telemetry; Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies and Respiratory therapy. Top three Diagnosis Related Groups are Septicemia, Pneumonia, Cellulitis, and Renal Failure. Average length of stay is 5.7 days. The nurse to patient ratio is 4.5:1.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Minimum requirement is an Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must be licensed as Registered Nurse with the State of Texas
• CPR Certification through the American Heart Associate or American Red Cross
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is preferred
