The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is seeking a Physician for a temporary position not to exceed 2 years. This position is to address the ever increasing COVID care needs of the hospital. Work Schedule: Extended Tour - Monday -Friday 11am - 11pm (varies); Weekends/Holiday/Off-Tours. This will be discussed during the interview. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required We are seeking a Hospitalist with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, a desire to work in a collaborative professional environment, and enthusiasm for ongoing process improvement. Integrity, empathy, collegiality, and a strong work ethic are expected. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Supports the VA facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, perform history and physical exams, and provide consultation to patients with common and complex illnesses, diseases and functional disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services. Provide outstanding customer service, utilizing the VA ICARE (Integrity, Respect, Excellence) principles and maintaining professional behavior and attitude at all times. Function as the Attending Hospitalist for a multidisciplinary team which includes the affiliate's residents, medical students, and ancillary medical personnel. Communicates and collaborates with care team (nursing, scheduling, primary care, inpatient, multidisciplinary team members)
