Work Hours/Shift: Fulltime Days
You Will Be Responsible For The Following:
Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results
Performs clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures
May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty care
May be required to travel to satellite office
Must maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as required
What You Will Need:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited or state-recognized medical assistant program; or successful completion of a registered apprentice program pursuant to the guidelines of U.S. Department of Labor; or successful completion of a formal medical services training program offered by any branch of the U.S. Military Training within the past five (5) years
OR, Have at least one (1) year of supervised work experience in the medical assisting field within the last three (3) years
Current, valid CPR certification is required.
Experience with computers required.
Ability to communicate in English.
Must only complete job duties permitted by uncertified/unregistered MA.
May not possess any EMR delegation rights.
The Medical Assistant - Uncertified, under close supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider upon successful completion of necessary competencies. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.
