Duke University Hospital has 1,048 licensed inpatient beds and offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center; a major surgery suite containing 65 operating rooms; an endo-surgery center; a separate hospital outpatient surgical department with nine operating rooms and an extensive diagnostic and interventional radiology area. Provide physical therapy services to patients /clients who haveimpairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or c hanges inphysical function and health status resulting from injury, dise ase, orother causes; provide prevention and wellness services, including screenings and health promotion. The senior serves as a resource personf orthe team and the department: participates in orientation of newstaff t herapists, physicians and other health personnel. The seniorparticipates in teaching activities for physical therapy and otherhealth related stu dents. The physical therapist works within practiceguidelines as defined by North Carolina state law.

Bachelor's degree or certification in physical therapy, with Master's or Clinical Doctorate in physical therapy preferred.
None beyond required education, although more experience may be preferred at times.
